Endeavor invests in Chess.com to expand partnerships and audience

Endeavor has invested in Chess.com, with the sports and entertainment group’s WME agency to work on the platform.

WME, a subsidiary of Endeavour, will work with Chess.com to expand the global appeal of chess across digital media, fashion, cinema, food, music, sports, television, and theatre.

WME will work with Chess.com to help amplify the game by developing non-scripted content which according to Chess.com will include documentaries, building celebrity-centric moments, creating crossover content to attract new audiences, and fueling the game’s growth by elevating its profile in mainstream media.

WME will also represent Chess.com as its exclusive sales agency of record for global brand partnerships. Erik Allebest, co-founder and CEO of Chess.com said “Chess.com is committed to serving our community and growing the game,”
